Electronicallly send you gift to:
Dear Member of Christ Church,

The Finance Committee has discussed two ideas which may be of interest to you:

Paying your pledge electronically

Many members of Christ Church make their gifts to the church by personally placing their cash or checks in the collection baskets. If that is your
preference, please feel free to continue that method of payment. However, there is a more convenient alternative: paying your gift or pledge
electronically.

This alternative avoids the nuisance of accumulating cash or writing checks and then having to remember to bring them to church. Another
advantage of electronic banking is that you can name Christ Episcopal Church as the payee and then have these options:
Authorizing each individual payment in the amount you choose
Having each payment be for the same amount, but still make individual payments
Setting up an arrangement so that the same amount is transferred regularly without you having to take any additional time or effort

With any of these options you will see the withdrawal on your bank statement. If you would like to evaluate the advantages of using this system
and are not now using electronic bill payment, talk with your bank which can help you understand how this system works and help you decide if
this is of interest to you.

If you do pay electronically, there is no fee for doing so and there is no charge to the church for receiving funds this way. Each payment from
your account would be delivered to Christ Church on a facsimile check showing clearly that the payment came from you so it would be
accurately credited to your church record.

Contributing to Christ Church using IRA Funds

If you are over 70 ½ and have some funds invested in a regular IRA (not a Roth IRA), the Federal government requires that you withdraw as
income each year a certain percentage of your account balance at the end of the previous year. You are then liable for taxes at ordinary
income rates on these withdrawals.

If you wish to use part of the required IRA distribution for charitable purposes, including Christ Church, rather than making the taxable
withdrawal yourself and being liable for the income taxes, you can avoid the income tax liability by having the IRA make the payment directly
to the designated charity or to Christ Church.

If you would like the assistance of any member of the Christ Church staff or Finance Committee, please do not hesitate to make your interest
known.
