S.P.A.R.K. Support for Parents and Activities and Resources for Kids - Heather Boggs, S.P.A.R.K. Director call 610-374-8269 for more information |
S.P.A.R.K. is a free activity and resource center where parents can come with their children to have fun, learn and talk with other parents about the ups and downs of being a parent. When you drop in to our space you will find many things for you and your child to do together. We have story time, arts/crafts, musical instruments and a variety of educational and fun centers to take advantage of. Each day will focus on a theme and give you some ideas that you can take home with you to continue the fun. We all have something to offer our children. Sometimes we just don't realize what that is, or maybe we just don't have the resources to do it. When you visit S.P.A.R.K. you will see just how easy it is to show your child that you care about them and that you want to take the time to help them grow, to be happy and to feel loved. Our Children are a gift, something to be treasured and well taken care of. Life can be very hard, sometimes ugly and sometimes overwhelming. Imagine how that feels to a child. Taking the time to visit S.P.A.R.K will give you a safe haven to retreat to and spend quality time with your child. We will provide your child with a healthy snack during your visit. There will also be written information that you can take home with you if you find it to be of interest or help to you and your family. |
Please join us in the Parish Hall and Nursery Classroom on the first floor of Christ Church. Enter the building through the courtyard on Court Street. Please ring the bell and say that you are a new S.P.A.R.K. family. Someone will welcome you and show you the way to the Parish Hall. |
What can we offer you as a parent? A safe, supportive community of other parents trying their best to raise their children, sometimes under difficult circumstances. When you are at the center you can enjoy the company, conversation and advice of other parents as well as receive information on some challenging topics like nutrition, safety, discipline and healthy habits. You can even grab a cup of coffee. |
meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 12 pm. |
